Paweł Orski graduate of the vocal and acting faculty at the Academy of Music in Krakow. In the 1990s, he was a columnist and reviewer of “Ruch Muzyczny”, “Studio”, “Dziennik Polski”, “Gazeta Wyborcza” and “Opera” in London. Director of the press office of the Kraków 2000 Festival in 1996 – when the Union of European Theatres Festival and the Andrzej Wajda Festival were held – organised by the Culture Foundation. In 1996-2001, he was head of the cultural department of the TVP Branch in Kraków, responsible for cultural journalism, theatre and classical music, and producer of international television co-productions, including the European premiere of Krzysztof Penderecki’s Credo and a concert of the Berlin Philharmonic in St. Mary’s Basilica in Kraków. Author of documentary films about Teresa Żylis-Gara, Helena Łazarska and others. In 2003, he co-created the idea and programme of the SACRUM PROFANUM Festival in Krakow together with Anna Oberc, PhD. In the years 2004-2007, he was program director of the International Vocal Music Festival VIVA IL CANTO in Cieszyn. Since 2005, he has been the director of the Polish Music Festival, recognized in 2005 and 2006 as one of the 10 most important music events in Poland. In 2004, he debuted as an off-stage opera director (“Trubadur” by Giuseppe Verdi, and later “Tosca” by Giacomo Puccini and “Theatre Director” by W. A. Mozart in Poland and abroad). In 2006/2007, he was the author of a series of lectures entitled “Opera for dummies”, realized by Radio Białystok and the Higher School of Public Administration in Białystok. In 2006 he was awarded the Order of Honoris Gratia by the Mayor of the City of Krakow for his services to culture. Producer of CD recordings of Polish music (Poniatowski, Weinberg, Moniuszko, Szymanowski, Karłowicz and others). From September 2016 to August 2019 casting manager at Wrocław Opera. Since 2013 member of the European Association of Artistic Agents (AEAA), and since May 2016 member of the board of this association, and since June 2019 vice-president. Since January 2019, he has been the President of the Management Board of the Polish Music Association.
